The Community Heroes Grant is a $10,000 grant from Virginia Housing to help eligible buyers with the upfront costs of purchasing a home.

Who the Grant Is Designed For
This grant is designed for service-focused professionals across Virginia, including (but not limited to):

Teachers and education professionals

Public safety workers

First responders (police, fire, EMS)

Military (active duty, veterans, retirees)

Healthcare workers
-
911 dispatchers
-
School bus drivers
-
Custodial and maintenance staff
Retirees from these professions may also qualify.
